On November 12, 2025, FORLAND officially introduced its all-new L7 automatic truck at the FORLAND Global Partners Conference 2026 held in Beijing. This launch marks a significant milestone in the company’s efforts to expand its presence in global markets, showcasing its commitment to delivering high-quality commercial vehicles from China.
Meeting Evolving Logistics Demands
The logistics industry is increasingly focused on efficiency, intelligence, and sustainability. As a result, truck users are seeking vehicles that offer more than just transportation; they desire smarter, more comfortable, and reliable options. The L7 automatic truck was developed to meet these evolving needs, drawing on extensive research and millions of kilometers of real-world driving data.
Designed to enhance the trucking experience, the L7 aims to simplify operations for logistics companies, reduce fuel costs, and minimize maintenance challenges. The model is engineered to perform efficiently under diverse conditions, catering to the demands of drivers facing rigorous road situations and long hours.
Enhanced Features for Performance and Safety
The L7 sets a new benchmark for light-duty trucks in international markets, featuring significant upgrades in design, power, and safety. Its striking appearance includes a bold “Ding-shaped” front grille and black eagle-eye headlights, while the interior boasts a twin-screen dashboard and a spacious cabin, enhancing driver comfort.
Under the hood, the truck is powered by a Cummins 3.8L engine producing 168 horsepower and is paired with a ZF 6-speed AMT transmission. This combination ensures smooth operation across extreme conditions, ranging from temperatures as low as -40°C to altitudes of 5,200 meters.
The L7 has successfully undergone over one million kilometers of rigorous testing, affirming its reliability and reducing maintenance downtime. Safety features are comprehensive, including standard Automatic Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), and other safety technologies that comply with EU standards. Its Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) integrates millimeter-wave radar and cameras to detect obstacles up to 150 meters away.
With a reinforced chassis and wider tires, the L7 offers a maximum payload capacity of 7 tons. It presents dual driving modes, Economic and Power, to optimize both fuel efficiency and performance, while features like an adjustable steering wheel and air-suspension seat enhance comfort during long hauls.
For peace of mind, FORLAND provides a 3-year / 150,000 km warranty, along with global smart diagnostic support and a robust parts supply network, ensuring comprehensive service for owners.
The launch of the L7 is not merely an introduction of a new model; it signifies FORLAND’s strategic advancement in the high-end global development of commercial vehicles. With its automatic transmission, the L7 addresses a vital gap in the global light truck market, illustrating how Chinese brands are ascending the global value chain.
FORLAND has established a solid foothold in regions such as Southeast Asia and the Middle East. The introduction of the L7 is expected to strengthen its leadership in these areas while paving the way for further expansion into Latin America and Eastern Europe, thanks to its adaptability to challenging environments.
The debut of the L7 at the Global Partners Conference highlights FORLAND’s ambition to innovate within the global light truck segment. This launch reaffirms that “Made in China” is synonymous with quality and leadership in the commercial vehicle industry.
