A new location of the locally-owned smoothie and salad shop, Purple Orchid, is set to open in Miami Shores at 11720 NE Second Avenue by spring 2026. The expansion reflects the brand’s commitment to providing healthful food options across South Florida. In addition to the Miami Shores venue, a private location will also debut in Kendall’s Town & Country area, catering exclusively to corporate tenants.
Founded by Sara Aqudelo Acosta in 2015, Purple Orchid has established itself as a go-to destination for nutritious meals. The brand currently operates locations at the Wells Fargo Center in Miami and within several major healthcare facilities, including South Miami Baptist Hospital, Hollywood Memorial Regional Hospital, and Pembroke Pines Memorial West. This expansion signifies a growing demand for fresh, healthy dining options in urban areas.
Customers at Purple Orchid can enjoy a diverse menu featuring signature smoothies such as the Purple Orchid, which combines blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, cranberries, milk, and Greek yogurt, and the Miami Dragon, made with dragon fruit, bananas, mango, coconut, and sweetened coconut cream. The shop also offers an array of customizable salads, allowing patrons to choose their base, vegetables, premium ingredients, and dressings.
In addition to smoothies and salads, the menu includes acai bowls, pressed juices, wraps, lunch bowls, empanadas, croissants, and pastries. Purple Orchid also provides catering services for events and fundraisers, enhancing its community engagement and outreach.
The introduction of the Miami Shores location is poised to attract health-conscious consumers and further establish Purple Orchid as a leader in the fast-casual dining sector focused on wellness. With its commitment to quality and innovation, the brand continues to adapt to the evolving preferences of its clientele.
