Melton Council Launches Urgent Cat Desexing Discounts This December

URGENT UPDATE: Melton Council is rolling out a vital initiative to promote the health of local cats with significant discounts on desexing services. Partnering with the Vet Project, the council will offer limited appointments for cat owners on December 17, 18, and 19, 2023, from 7:30 AM to 3 PM at the Melton Council Animal Pound.

This timely opportunity is exclusively available to residents of Melton City Council, allowing cat owners to ensure their furry companions receive essential health services at a reduced cost. Owners can check off multiple health needs for their pets, including desexing, microchipping, and vaccinations, with prices starting as low as $75 for desexing and microchipping, $120 for vaccinations, and $160 for flea and worm treatments.

To qualify for these discounted services, residents must present a council rates notice as proof of residency. Importantly, each owner can bring a maximum of two cats to benefit from these offers, making it an ideal chance for cat lovers to care for multiple pets.

Appointments must be booked and paid for in advance via the Paws App. It’s crucial for interested cat owners to act quickly, as slots are limited and expected to fill up rapidly.

Admit times for the procedures are set for 7:30 AM to 8 AM each day, with discharge anticipated between 2 PM and 3 PM.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to promote their pets’ health and well-being. This initiative aligns with Melton Council’s commitment to responsible pet ownership and community health.
