UnionPay Expands Online Payments for Apple Services in 15 Markets

URGENT UPDATE: UnionPay International has just announced a significant expansion, allowing UnionPay cardholders to pay for various Apple Services across 15 international markets. This development, confirmed on November 20, 2025, enables users to access digital content and subscriptions including the App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV, and iCloud with ease.

The service is now live in key regions such as Australia, Cambodia, Georgia, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Macao SAR, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and the UAE. Locally issued UnionPay cards can now be used by customers in these regions to make online payments via their Apple ID.

This initiative reflects UnionPay’s commitment to enhancing digital payment experiences as the demand for seamless access to premium content continues to grow globally. With this new capability, UnionPay is poised to tap into a vast market of Apple users, broadening the payment options available for millions around the world.

UnionPay International (UPI) is dedicated to expanding its global network, currently partnering with over 2,600 partners worldwide. UPI enables card acceptance in 183 countries and regions, with issuance in 84 countries. Their focus is on providing high-quality, cost-effective, and secure cross-border payment services to the world’s largest cardholder base.

As the digital landscape evolves, UnionPay’s mobile payment services, including UnionPay mobile QuickPass and QR code payments, are now accepted in over 100 countries. More than 200 e-wallets in 37 countries outside China’s mainland accept UnionPay cards, catering to the diverse needs of users across different markets.

This latest development opens new avenues for Apple users in these regions, making it easier than ever to access the vast array of digital content available through Apple Services.
