URGENT UPDATE: Melbourne’s iconic Myer Christmas window display has been officially unveiled, featuring an astonishing 488,215 Lego bricks. The highly anticipated event, which launched on November 8, 2025, showcases a vibrant Lego-themed narrative that captures the festive spirit and promises to draw crowds throughout the holiday season.
This year’s display marks a significant shift from last year’s controversial design, which was criticized for its eerie portrayal of the Irwin family. Designers have collaborated closely with Lego and enlisted the expertise of certified Lego professional Ryan McNaught, also known as The Brickman, to ensure a whimsical and engaging experience. The display celebrates not only the holiday season but also marks the 70th anniversary of Myer’s beloved window displays.
The elaborate six-window setup takes visitors on a journey of a letter to Santa as it travels from the Melbourne post office to the North Pole Workshop. The story is narrated by popular television personality Hamish Blake, adding an extra touch of charm to the display.
This year’s installation showcases various iconic Australian Christmas traditions, including a Lego replica of the Melbourne skyline and a detailed model of the MCG, featuring a scene from the upcoming Boxing Day Test match. In addition, Lego minifigures can be seen attending the annual Carols by Candlelight event at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, making it a truly immersive experience for visitors of all ages.
The display is located at the Bourke Street Mall Myer and will be available for viewing until January 11, 2026. In addition to the Lego exhibit, a nightly Christmas lights show will run throughout November leading up to Christmas Day, enhancing the festive atmosphere in the heart of Melbourne.
Don’t miss this unique celebration that combines creativity, community spirit, and holiday cheer, all crafted from the simple joy of Lego bricks. Visit Myer to experience the magic firsthand, and share the excitement with friends and family!
