Screenshot

A new takeout restaurant named Crispy Fry is set to open in Algiers, New Orleans, in October 2023, bringing a combination of po-boys and fried chicken to the local dining scene. Located at 3705 General De Gaulle Drive, the establishment will operate exclusively as a takeout venue, with no dining area available for patrons.

The menu for Crispy Fry highlights a variety of po-boy sandwiches, including shrimp, oyster, catfish, cheeseburger, hot sausage, chicken, Philly cheesesteak, and turkey. In addition to po-boys, customers can expect a selection of seafood platters, chicken tenders, chicken nuggets, salads, and an array of chicken wings available in flavors such as lemon pepper, mild, hot, and barbecue.

For beverages, the restaurant will offer a range of Coke products and slushies, alongside dessert options that include cheesecake and various sweet cakes. A permit filing with the City of New Orleans has also indicated that Crispy Fry will serve breakfast all day, expanding its appeal to early risers and those seeking comfort food throughout the day.

Crispy Fry aims to cater to the local community by providing accessible and delicious offerings that reflect the rich culinary traditions of New Orleans. The emphasis on takeout service is a response to the growing demand for convenient dining options, especially in urban areas where busy lifestyles often limit traditional dining experiences.

As the opening date approaches, many in the Algiers community anticipate the launch of this new venture, which promises to deliver a taste of New Orleans’ beloved comfort foods. With its strategic location and diverse menu, Crispy Fry is poised to become a popular choice for both residents and visitors seeking a quick yet satisfying meal.
