Samsung Galaxy S26 Specs Leak Ahead of Anticipated Launch

Recent leaks have provided detailed specifications for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series, indicating that a launch may be imminent. The Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra are expected to debut early in 2026, with the latest information revealing both minor upgrades and consistent features across the models.

The first set of leaks originated from the reputable source, @UniverseIce, who shared comprehensive specifications for all three models. Notably, the Galaxy S26 will feature a slight increase in screen size, moving from 6.2 inches to 6.3 inches, along with a battery upgrade from 4,000 mAh to 4,300 mAh. However, key components such as the camera capabilities, RAM, maximum storage, and charging speeds appear to remain unchanged.

Galaxy S26 Plus and Ultra Details

The Galaxy S26 Plus seems to have minimal changes compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Plus. The primary distinction noted in the leaks is a slight increase in weight, from 190 grams to 194 grams. The core architecture remains the same, with the updated chipset likely being either the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or the Exynos 2600, depending on the market.

For the Galaxy S26 Ultra, the leaks suggest that while many features will stay familiar, there will be enhancements to the camera system. The 10MP telephoto camera is expected to incorporate a larger sensor, which may improve photo quality. Additionally, wired charging speeds are set to increase from 45W to 60W, and the device may be slightly thinner than its predecessor.

Despite these upgrades, some Samsung enthusiasts may express disappointment over the lack of significant innovations compared to previous models. In recent years, Samsung has faced criticism for its incremental updates, especially in contrast to competitors like Apple, which have introduced more substantial changes in their flagship devices.

Testing and Release Timeline

In a further indication of the Galaxy S26’s impending launch, a second leak from @theonecid reported that the device has been identified on a testing server running One UI 8.5. This could suggest that an official announcement may occur as early as January 2026, although details surrounding the precise launch timeline remain somewhat uncertain.

As anticipation builds for the Galaxy S26 series, it is clear that Samsung is preparing to unveil its latest flagship devices. The company’s strategy of adopting gradual enhancements may continue to shape consumer expectations as they await the official release.
