UPDATE: A devastating car park crash in Hornsby, Sydney, has tragically claimed the life of an eight-month pregnant woman and her unborn baby. The incident occurred shortly after 8 PM on October 20, 2023, at the entrance of a car park on George Street.
Emergency services rushed to the scene following reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. Paramedics from NSW Ambulance provided immediate treatment to the woman before transporting her to Westmead Hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, both she and her baby succumbed to their injuries shortly after arrival.
The driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old man operating a white BMW, and another driver, a 48-year-old man in a silver Kia Carnival, were unharmed. Both drivers were taken to Hornsby Hospital for mandatory testing, as is standard procedure in such incidents.
