Brimbank Students Gear Up for Victoria’s State School Spectacular

UPDATE: Students from Brimbank and across Victoria are intensifying their rehearsals as the Victoria State School Spectacular approaches, set to dazzle audiences on September 13 at the John Cain Arena. This annual event highlights the extraordinary talents of state school students through vibrant performances featuring song, dance, and circus arts.

Among the standout participants is Chloe, a Year 12 student from Victoria University, who is thrilled to play the bass trombone in a remarkable 75-piece ensemble. “This is my first time performing in a show like this, and it’s been more fun than I ever imagined,” Chloe shared, expressing her enthusiasm for this unique opportunity. She emphasized the importance of connections made during rehearsals, stating, “I can make so many new connections in different areas of Melbourne through our shared love for music.”

Chloe encourages fellow Year 12 students to seize this chance, advising, “You never know if you’ll get this opportunity again, so go for it!”

Also lighting up the stage are siblings Aydin and Chloe, both students from Copperfield College, who have been selected as principal dancers. Aydin, now participating for the third time, expressed his honor in being named a principal dancer, stating, “This show has helped me grow as a performer and as a person.” He highlighted the special bond he shares with his sister on stage, saying, “We can do this together and have each other’s backs.”

Chloe echoed Aydin’s sentiments, adding, “Performing alongside Aydin makes the experience feel even more special and comfortable.” With the dynamic choreography this year, she is excited to explore new styles and collaborate with a diverse group of artists.

Both Aydin and Chloe have aspirations of pursuing careers in dance, performing arts, and choreography, further emphasizing the personal and professional growth opportunities presented by the Spectacular.

The Victoria State School Spectacular will take place on September 13, with performances scheduled for 1 PM and 6:30 PM. Tickets are available now at Ticketek.

As preparations continue, the energy and excitement among students are palpable, promising an unforgettable showcase of talent and creativity. Don’t miss this chance to witness the hard work and dedication of these young performers as they take the stage to shine!
