Iran Commander Named Behind Thwarted Attack Plots in Europe

BREAKING: Israel has identified a senior Iranian official as the architect behind a series of thwarted attack plots targeting Jewish sites in Europe and Australia. The Israeli government, in a joint statement with its Mossad intelligence agency, disclosed that Sardar Amar, a high-ranking commander in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), orchestrated these attempts.

The threats intensified following the October 7, 2023 Hamas-led attack on Israel, with authorities confirming that Iran has escalated efforts against Israeli interests worldwide. Recent reports reveal that attempted attacks in Germany, Greece, and Australia were successfully thwarted, thanks to Mossad’s intelligence operations.

According to the statement, “Under Amar’s command, a significant mechanism was established to promote attacks against Israeli and Jewish targets both in Israel and abroad.” This network is implicated in numerous failed attempts in the past year, leading to heightened security measures and multiple arrests.

In Australia, the government expelled Iranian ambassador Ahmad Sadeghi in August after the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) reported credible evidence of IRGC involvement in at least two attacks on Jewish locations. Notably, the Adass Israel Synagogue in Melbourne suffered severe damage from a firebombing in December 2024, injuring worshippers.

Another targeted site was the Lewis’ Continental Kitchen, a kosher deli in Sydney, which was firebombed in October. These incidents have raised alarms about the IRGC’s reach into Australian territory.

In Germany, authorities reported that a Danish citizen, suspected of spying on Jewish individuals and institutions, was arrested in Aarhus. The 53-year-old man of Afghan descent was believed to be gathering intelligence for Iranian agents, potentially in preparation for attacks.

Iranian officials have vehemently denied these allegations, labeling them as unfounded and dismissing them as a distraction from Israel’s ongoing conflicts. The Iranian embassy in Berlin claimed the accusations were part of a campaign to divert attention from Israel’s war with Iran.

This urgent situation underscores the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, with both nations remaining on high alert. As developments unfold, the international community is closely monitoring the implications of Iran’s actions and the potential for further violence.

Authorities urge vigilance as investigations continue, and more details are expected to emerge in the coming days. Stay tuned for live updates as this story develops.
