AEG Unveils High-Speed Pizza Oven, Set to Transform Home Cooking

At IFA 2025, AEG introduced its latest innovation, a high-speed pizza oven that has quickly gained recognition as a leading product of the event. This appliance, capable of baking a pizza in just 160 seconds, is already being touted by industry experts as a potential bestseller in retail markets. Biag Capasso, CEO of The Good Guys, expressed his approval, stating that the pizzas cooked in this oven are “very good.”

Revolutionary Features and Technology

Central to the oven’s impressive performance is AEG’s new PizzaExpert function. This feature heats a cast-iron tray to an astonishing 340°C, allowing for rapid cooking that significantly reduces the time needed between pizzas. The tray can recover in just 150 seconds before the next pizza is placed for cooking. In addition, AEG plans to sell a dedicated pizza peel and the tray as separate accessories to enhance the cooking experience.

According to AEG, pizza is the fourth most commonly cooked dish in homes, although the company did not disclose the top three. They argue that the limited time, appliance constraints, and skill gaps have hindered the widespread adoption of homemade pizza. The PizzaExpert function aims to address these challenges, making it easier for home chefs to create authentic pizzas.

The new AEG 7000 MealAssist oven, featuring the PizzaExpert function, is set for mass production in 2026. Retailers are already eyeing its potential as a strong product for the second half of the year.

Support for Home Chefs

To assist users in perfecting their pizza-making skills, the oven includes a digital assistant accessible through the AEG app, alongside an EXCite Touch TFT display. This technology guides users through every step of the process, from dough preparation and timing to cooking. Notably, the oven’s technology has been endorsed by the Scuola Italiana Pizzaioli, a prestigious authority on pizza making.

AEG also highlighted its growth in the European market, asserting that it has become the fastest-growing built-in kitchen brand since early 2024. This new pizza oven is expected to further solidify AEG’s position as an innovator in kitchen appliances, catering to the evolving needs of home cooks.
