Police Identify New Search Areas for Murder Victim’s Head

URGENT UPDATE: Police have launched a renewed search for the decapitated head of Julian Story, 39, after identifying multiple key locations of interest near Port Lincoln, South Australia. The grim search effort follows the discovery of his dismembered body on June 19, with authorities aiming to provide closure for his family.

Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke announced that specialized equipment and new information have pinpointed additional areas for the ongoing investigation. “By undertaking these renewed searches, we hope to find Julian’s missing remains, which will give comfort to his family and allow them to peacefully lay him to rest,” he stated on Tuesday.

The search operations have spanned across various terrains, including reserves, parks, bushland, and ocean areas around Port Lincoln. Involvement from state emergency service volunteers, water police, and divers has intensified in the effort to locate Mr. Story’s head. Authorities initially paused searches on July 1 to analyze CCTV footage revealing the movements of ex-reality TV star Tamika Sueann Rose Chesser, 34, who has been charged with his murder.

The investigation took a shocking turn when firefighters were called to a property on Flinders Highway due to reports of a fire, leading to the grim discovery of Mr. Story’s body. Chesser, who was in a relationship with Mr. Story for several months, was arrested the same day.

Authorities are urgently appealing for any video footage from the public that could aid in the investigation. Community participation is vital as police continue to unravel the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.

The search efforts are a poignant reminder of the impact on Mr. Story’s family and friends, who await closure amid this distressing situation. As the investigation unfolds, the community remains on high alert, hoping for answers and justice.
