The Goat Expands: New Burger and Whiskey Bar Opens in Salem

The Goat, a popular country-themed whiskey bar and burger establishment, is set to open its fifth location in Salem, Massachusetts. According to a recent post on the business’s Facebook page, the new venue will occupy the former American Flatbread space at 311 Derby St. The announcement excitedly stated, “Secret is out! We can’t wait to see you in Salem. Stay tuned for updates.”

New Location and Expansion Plans

This new site will be the closest to Boston, enhancing The Goat’s reach in the region. Existing locations include establishments in Newburyport, Massachusetts, and Manchester, Hampton, and Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Since its inception in 2014, The Goat has built a reputation for its creative burger offerings, an extensive whiskey selection, homestyle brunches, and live music, all set within a quirky and inviting atmosphere.

The Goat operates under the umbrella of The Fleury Group, which manages various restaurants, bars, and real estate projects across New Hampshire. The husband-and-wife duo, Albert and Erica Fleury, are the driving force behind this expansion. They have been instrumental in establishing the brand’s unique identity and community engagement.

Community Engagement and Future Updates

The Fleury Group has garnered attention for its commitment to creating vibrant dining experiences. The Goat’s new location is expected to contribute positively to the local economy, providing jobs and attracting visitors. As the opening date approaches, What Now Boston has reached out to the Fluerys for further details regarding the grand opening and any special events planned for the launch.

As excitement builds in Salem, patrons can look forward to enjoying The Goat’s signature offerings, including innovative burgers, a wide variety of whiskeys, and engaging live music performances. The opening represents not just an expansion of The Goat’s footprint but also a commitment to bringing a lively, community-oriented venue to the area.
