The 2026 Parkes Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest culminated in an electrifying finale, with New Zealand’s Taurean Kenny Mill emerging victorious. Competing against 19 top tribute artists from Australia, New Zealand, and Japan, Mill’s performance resonated with the spirit of Elvis Presley, securing him the coveted title.
The competition unfolded at the Parkes Leagues Club over two high-energy days, where five finalists—Brendan Chase, Taurean Kenny Mill, Toki Toyokazu, Anthony Fenech, and Tristan James—delivered spectacular renditions of Elvis classics. The contest served as a platform for the best tribute artists, evaluated by a panel of experts based on their vocals, appearance, stage presence, and overall performance quality.
Mill’s win was a result of his striking stage presence and ability to authentically capture the essence of Elvis. “This was an incredibly tough contest, with 20 elite Elvis tribute artists delivering standout performances across two massive days,” said Brendan Shipley, Director of the Parkes Elvis Festival. “Taurean rose above the rest with an electrifying stage presence and a performance that captured the spirit of Elvis with real authenticity and swagger. We’re thrilled to see him represent Parkes at Elvis Week in Memphis later this year.”
Alongside Mill, second place went to Anthony Fenech from Fraser Rise, Victoria, while Brendan Chase from Paradise Point, Queensland, secured third place. Their performances contributed to a highly competitive atmosphere, showcasing the dedication and talent of the artists.
The Parkes Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest is part of a global initiative endorsed by Elvis Presley Enterprises, aimed at honoring the legacy of the legendary performer. The festival draws tribute artists from around the world, and the winners gain the opportunity to represent their regions at the prestigious Elvis Week in Memphis, USA.
As the festival concluded, the excitement surrounding Mill’s victory was palpable. Fans and participants alike celebrated the high standard of competition and the dedication of all artists involved. The event not only highlighted the rich cultural impact of Elvis Presley but also reinforced the community spirit in Parkes, where the festival continues to thrive as a significant cultural event.
