Jules Neale has publicly addressed her separation from her husband, AFL star Lachie Neale, following his announcement that he will step down as co-captain of the Brisbane Lions. In a recent video posted on social media, Jules shared moments with friends while crafting, urging viewers to gather and “manifest your 2026 vibes.” The video showcased a vision board filled with affirmations, including “good things are coming” and “I attract love.”
During a press conference held on October 27, 2023, Lachie Neale, a dual Brownlow Medal winner, expressed his regret regarding the separation. He admitted to letting his family down and apologized for his actions that have caused pain to those he loves. “I can confirm that with regret Jules and I have now separated,” he stated. “While I won’t go into specifics, I can say that I have let my family down and I apologize for my actions, which have hurt those closest to me. For that, I am deeply sorry.”
In the days leading up to the announcement, Jules took to Instagram to express her feelings of betrayal. She clarified that she was not “working through” any issues, stating, “I have been betrayed in the most unimaginable way.” She emphasized her focus on healing and prioritizing the well-being of their children, four-year-old Piper and one-year-old Freddie.
Following the separation news, Jules has reportedly removed images of Lachie and her former close friend, influencer Tess Crosley, from her social media accounts. The couple’s children have moved back to Perth, where Lachie began his AFL career with Fremantle.
Lachie Neale articulated his commitment to rebuilding trust with his estranged wife and ensuring the well-being of their children. He requested respect for their privacy during this challenging time, stating, “I understand as a public figure there is interest in my personal life; however, I do ask for the privacy of Jules and my children to be respected as we work through our new situation and the next chapter of our lives.”
The aftermath of their separation highlights the challenges faced by public figures in maintaining personal privacy, particularly when personal matters become public. As both Jules and Lachie navigate this transition, their focus remains on the future and the well-being of their family.
