Father and Son Killed by Ute During Ice-Cream Walk in Brisbane

URGENT UPDATE: A father and his four-year-old son tragically lost their lives when a ute veered off the road during a routine walk in Regents Park, south of Brisbane, on Sunday morning. Braiden Ashley Timmins, 33, and his son, Hendrix-hemi Te Rongomau King, were heading to a nearby service station around 11 AM to buy ice-cream when the incident occurred.

Witnesses report that the duo was enjoying their walk, with little Hendrix riding his balance bike. They were beloved regulars at the local 7-Eleven, where staff expressed deep sorrow over the loss of their frequent customers. The joy of their outing turned to tragedy when a ute struck them near the intersection of Green Road and Greenridge Roads. Despite the immediate response from paramedics, neither father nor son could be saved.

Heartbroken family members quickly gathered at the scene, laying flowers, teddy bears, and heartfelt tributes at a makeshift memorial. Among the offerings, a card reads: “Super Dad,” while another heartfelt note expresses, “Uncle Braiden and our little buddy Hendrix-hemi, We love you so much. Always in our hearts.”

Local MP Cameron Dick visited the memorial to pay his respects, stating in an interview with Nine News that he had spoken with the devastated family. “They are shattered by this loss,” he conveyed, as the community mourns the sudden and unimaginable tragedy.
