Delta Future Industry Summit 2025 Charts Southeast Asia’s Transformation through Sustainable AI, Smart Manufacturing and Energy Resilience

On November 7, 2025, in Bangkok, Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. hosted the Delta Future Industry Summit 2025, focusing on the theme “Transforming Industry with AI, Automation & Energy in Southeast Asia.” The event gathered policymakers, business leaders, and industry experts to discuss the role of sustainable artificial intelligence (AI), smart manufacturing, and energy resilience in shaping a more connected and intelligent society across the region.

Dr. Nattapol Rangsitpol, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, highlighted the critical need for technology and sustainability to advance together. He stated, “Southeast Asia is entering a new era where technology and sustainability must advance hand in hand. By embracing AI, automation, and clean energy, we are building competitive and sustainable industries for future generations.” Dr. Rangsitpol emphasized Thailand’s commitment to fostering regional collaboration and developing digital talent to drive inclusive growth.

Mr. Victor Cheng, Chief Executive Officer of Delta Electronics (Thailand), expressed gratitude to the participants for their insights. He remarked, “This annual venue exemplifies our commitment to creating a smarter, greener Southeast Asia together with our partners. By accelerating collaboration and innovation, we empower industries to achieve their sustainability goals.”

During her keynote address, Shan-Shan Guo, Chief Brand Officer of Delta Electronics, discussed the findings of a research report by Economist Impact. This report revealed that up to 78% of companies expect energy efficiency in their AI operations to become increasingly relevant within the next year. Guo noted that the transition to innovative energy-efficient technologies can enable green AI, while also addressing challenges related to grid resilience.

Turning Challenges into Opportunities

As industries navigate the intersection of digital transformation and sustainability, the summit highlighted how the integration of AI, automation, and energy management is fostering a new era of responsible industrial growth. The event featured a range of discussions aimed at exchanging ideas and sharing best practices to enhance regional collaboration.

The summit opened with an address from Dr. Rangsitpol, focusing on “Enabling Smart and Sustainable Industry in Southeast Asia for Global Impact.” This session set the stage for discussions on the government’s vision for industrial modernization and sustainable innovation.

A key session titled “From Automation to Autonomous Solutions” included insights from Mr. Vatsun Thirapatarapong, Country Manager of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Thailand. He explained that in the age of AI, automation is evolving from basic tasks to advanced processes powered by machine learning. “This transformation is driving significant gains in workforce productivity,” he stated, urging organizations to prepare for emerging challenges.

The summit also featured two panels addressing critical transformations in the region’s digital infrastructure and manufacturing. The first panel, “How Smart Buildings and Data Centers Are Shaping the Future of Digital Infrastructure,” included experts like Mr. Ke-Vin Lim from City Developments Limited and Mr. Suthipat Lueprasert from NTT Global Data Centers. They discussed the role of AI in enhancing building performance and promoting sustainable design.

The second panel, “Powering the Smart Factory with Energy Intelligence and Industrial Automation,” featured representatives from Bosch Connected Services, Western Digital, and Kulicke and Soffa Industries. The panelists examined how energy intelligence and digital transformation are reshaping Southeast Asia’s manufacturing landscape, emphasizing the importance of efficiency and sustainability.

Innovations for a Sustainable Future

Delta showcased various innovations aimed at supporting future industrial transformation during the summit, including Datacenter Solutions, Industrial Automation Solutions, Smart Energy and EV Charging Solutions, and Building Automation Solutions. These exhibits demonstrated Delta’s comprehensive approach to improving how buildings, factories, and digital ecosystems operate, all while aligning technological progress with sustainability goals.
