A tragic car crash near Zieleniec in southwestern Poland has resulted in the deaths of six individuals. The head-on collision occurred in the early hours of Wednesday at an intersection of two major roads, according to a police spokesman reported by the Polish news agency PAP.
The incident involved two vehicles, one of which caught fire following the crash. Five occupants in that car lost their lives, while the driver of the second vehicle was also killed. Emergency services confirmed that all the victims died at the scene of the accident. Their identities have not yet been released.
Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution, particularly due to icy road conditions as temperatures fell below 0°C. With the Christmas holiday approaching, traffic volumes are expected to increase, raising further safety concerns.
