Reports confirm that relief supplies are now reaching 118 residents in Bogo City and San Remigio, with critical items such as food packs and hygiene kits being distributed to over one hundred families still grappling with the aftermath.
Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, emphasized the urgent need for community support during this crisis. “My heart goes out to people that have been struggling during this difficult time. Our community in Cebu has helped us stand with those in need during such distress, and we hope to support and continue building trust,” Chen stated.
The relief operation, spearheaded by The Ascent Project along with local volunteers, coordinated closely with barangay officials to ensure aid reached those with the most pressing needs. Many families are still without reliable access to electricity or clean water, making the timely delivery of assistance even more crucial as weather alerts indicate another storm may be approaching.
